I manage a few different blogs, and I am no where near a professional writer or creative with the pen (keyboard). That being the case I often find getting creative with my blog somewhat difficult.

Because of my above mentioned handicap it would be most easy to simply dump the blog idea altogether. But, I’m told that would be the wrong move by every internet marketer alive. I also find the specific blogs a simple location to address specific ideas, changes, or issues with our various fitness industry programs.

So, being the resourceful guy I am… oops, that’s a different story. Today I was fortunate to take a look at one of my RSS feeds at just the right time on small business that happened to give a mention to a company with a cool blogging content assistance program.

I was quickly on my way to check out Zemanta.

No affiliate relationship or commission here. I was just so impressed with some of the features in this tool, which I could easily add as a FireFox add-on, that I want to mention it to the Fit Pros who keep track of things we have going on…. This also makes great worthwhile content for me in making a blog post. I’m using it on this post and tried it first at our nutrition solution blog site.

Zemanta is a tool that looks over your shoulder while you blog and gives you tips and advice, suggests related content and pictures and makes sure your posts get promoted as they deserve to be…

(From Zemanta) YOUR kind of Assistant…

Zemanta bloggers all get a great tool to help them create content and drive inbound traffic. But, we know that every blogger is different, so there are different ways you can use Zemanta, depending on your styles and interests. If you don’t see your area of interest bellow, drop us an email and let us know how you want to use Zemanta.

We previously talked about you carving out your “social space” online. While this is important is a great means for networking with other fitness professionals as well as fitness clients, at some point you will want a “home” location that is all yours.

While the internet is no longer a new technology, I can point to hundreds of occasions in recent years where I have been contacted by fitness professionals asking for help in various areas of the technology use.

I figured the majority out, so I know it’s not rocket science… And I am still smart enough to look to a technology expert when it comes to getting fancy with an internet presence but the basics are most likely all you need.

The following video gives a birds-eye view of what it takes to get started. It was put… together by a company called network solutions. They can assist with the basic steps described, but I like godaddy.com for some great customer service experiences and the general attitude of the site. There are hundreds more choices for you out there as well.

Establishing you Fitness Business Website is essential.

Yep you can contact me and we can help with this, but my first suggestion is to take a look yourself. Either way, step one is to get there.

Social activity equating to website traffic, may bring out significant change of who’s who in where we get our information online. FaceBook has grown in size far faster than Google ever did. Possibly more important, average time of user visit make this social network an extreme heavy hitter in the internet world.

How we utilize the social networking platform, is changing the website traffic game as well.

…For a long time if you wanted your business to get found online, you focused on traditional search engines. You made sure your site could get found in Google and Yahoo and other engines.

But gradually, almost imperceptibly at first, people started changing their online behavior. I’ve noticed it with my own sites, where each month traffic from social sites is growing.

According to a Nielsen report (PDF) out just yesterday, “two-thirds of the world’s Internet population visit a social network or blogging site and the sector now accounts for almost 10% of all internet time.”… (Read Rest of Small Biz Trends Article)

Online activities in social media have become essential for business. The number of users and their time spent online require your attention if you want to remain in touch with your customer.

It is not suggested that you walk into these settings and begin rounds of old-school sales talk. I suggest instead that you treat these arenas as an open two way communication vehicle for you and your customer. They know how to find your business, website, or product. They will be more likely to do so after they have had the chance to know you a bit more personally.

As mentioned earlier, FaceBook has grown at a much faster pace than even Google ever did. The next element that people are beginning to use it for that Google cannot compete with the “live search” capabilities of a large social network.

More and more people are searching their connections for answers to their daily questions. This is another I have seen and even done myself. Looking for a restaurant recommendation in another city, finding out the short cut proceedure for copy and paste, and the “what do you think of this (link goes here).”

From these community generated interactions and answers, come the website traffic.

I’m certain FaceBook and Google are both aware this change of action in the on-line populace. It is important for you as a small business owner to be aware of the same so that you can be involved where the decisions are being made.

Have you changed your activities personally as suggested here? Have created a presence for yourself AND your business in one or more social networking sites? As of yet, have you seen any changes in the numbers of visitors coming from social media sites vs. the search engines?
